Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Wi-Fi Device Detector ("the App") handles your data. The App is designed to provide network security tools and does not collect or sell your personal information.

1. Information Collection and Use

📍 Location Data

The App requires the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission. On Android 10 and above, this permission is strictly required by the Android operating system to allow the App to read the SSID (Wi-Fi Name) and BSSID of the network you are connected to.

• We do NOT track your physical location.
• We do NOT store or transmit your location coordinates to any server.

📶 Network Information

To perform its core function, the App scans your local network to identify connected devices. This involves reading IP addresses, hostnames, and network signatures.

• This information stays entirely on your device.
• We do not upload your network map or device list to any external servers.

💾 Local Preferences

The App stores your chosen settings (such as notification toggles and device limits) locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your phone.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

💰 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device's Advertising ID and general device information to provide personalized ads.

3. Permissions Explained

• INTERNET: Used to load AdMob advertisements.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to detect if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to alert you when a scan completes or when intruders are detected (Android 13+).
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: Required by Android to identify your current Wi-Fi network identity.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
