Smart Level is designed with a privacy-first approach:
No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
Accelerometer Sensor Data: The App accesses your device's built-in accelerometer hardware sensors in real-time solely to compute pitch, roll, surface slope, and tilt angles. Sensor data is processed entirely locally on your device and is never recorded, transmitted, or shared.
App Preferences: Your selected settings (such as theme preferences, selected measurement unit, sound/haptic toggles, and language choice) are saved locally on your device using Android DataStore.
2. Advertising & Third-Party Services
Smart Level integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to serve banner advertisements:
AdMob may collect and use anonymized device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) for ad delivery and performance analytics in accordance with Google's Advertising Policies.
The App requests minimal permissions required for core functionality:
VIBRATE: Used solely to provide optional tactile haptic feedback when the device achieves a level alignment.
INTERNET: Used to load banner advertisements via Google AdMob and to direct users to Play Store rating pages.
4. Children's Privacy
Smart Level does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The application is a general utility tool suitable for users of all ages.
